Assistance with employment skills

The New Jersey Office of Child Support is currently implementing a program called the Work Requirements Judicial Benchcard Initiative. The program is being piloted as a national demonstration project through the collaborative efforts of the federal Departments of Labor; Health and Human Services Office of Child Support Enforcement; and the National Center of State Courts.

New Jersey's Work Requirements Judicial Benchcard Initiative includes local representatives of the Family Court, NJCS Probation Divisions and County Boards of Social Service Units, and the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development One Stop Career Centers. This Initiative is used to outreach and inform all local agency representatives of the availability of employment skills development programs provided through federal and state funds needed to help individuals meet family support matters.
