Approximately 4 hours to complete paperwork and take pre-employment test

Please bring 2 forms of identification (1 must be a valid driver’s license w/photo) and a completed employment application (can be downloaded from www.njtransit.com/careers, click on NJT Employment Application)
 
Seating is limited. Candidates will be processed on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility Requirements: 
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED. 
Experience preferred in the installation, repair and troubleshooting of commercial or industrial electrical wiring, formal training or work experience in the field of electronics. 
Must be able to work all shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. 
Must have work knowledge of basic electrical tools such as a multi-meter, voltage tester, etc. 
Knowledge of controls, automation, and computer control integration is a plus. 
Must be able to pass NJ Transit’s Electrician Aptitude Test. 
Must successfully complete a background check.
