Where do I go?

Each non-custodial parent who either is court ordered to participate as a result of non compliance of an order, or who volunteers to participate as a result of the initial child support establishment, will be referred to their local Department of Labor's One Stop Career Service Center. Each participant will be given the toll free number to their local One Stop Career Center. Each individual will interviewed and assessed for job readiness and placed into their own customized work plan.

Services provided by the Department of Labor's One Stop Career Service Centers include:

  • Job readiness classes, job search assistance, and job placement services;
  • Career assessment, planning, and counseling;
  • Education such as english as a second language, math, reading, or writing skills;and
  • Support services in areas such as transportation, housing, substance abuse, and mental health.
